Safety and reporting

Your photos

You can remove anything you uploaded, at any time, without asking anyone. GPS coordinates are stripped from every photo before it is shown to anyone else — the image itself is untouched, only the metadata saying where it was taken.

A photo of you that you did not upload

Ask for it to be taken down. You need an account to ask, and you do not need to have uploaded anything. The request goes to whoever created the roll. If they have not answered within 48 hours the photo is hidden automatically while they decide.

Something that should not be here

Report it — photos, moments, comments, messages, profiles and groups each have a report action. Reports come to us rather than to the roll’s host, because sometimes the host is the problem, and are reviewed within 72 hours; a report of child abuse is looked at straight away. You can also block someone. The two of you then stop seeing each other’s photos, messages, comments, reactions and moments everywhere, even in rolls and groups you are both in, and neither of you sees the rolls the other made. Blocking is private — they are not told — and you can undo it from the Blocked list in your settings.
